Canada 150 event on July 1 – International drumming circle wants you!

Dear GI performers,

My name is Maria and I am writing on behalf of the Canada 150 Atlantic to Pacific Drumming Celebration organizing committee.
On July 1st, a countrywide drumming celebration known as the Canada 150 Atlantic to Pacific Celebration (www.canada150drumming.com) will celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary of Confederation and the success of Canadian multiculturalism.

Through eight regions including Halifax, Montreal, Ottawa, Toronto, Winnipeg, Regina, Calgary and Vancouver, drummers will come together to drum simultaneously on July 1st.  This celebration will celebrate Canada’s 150th Birthday and hopefully, set a Guinness World Record for “Most Nationalities in a Drum Circle” of a recognized orchestral piece of music lasting at least five minutes.

A federal non-profit organization, The Legacy 150 Celebrations Society, took initiative in organizing this special event.

I am writing to ask for your support with this exciting national initiative. Since this world record will be based on the number of nationalities participating, we are looking for many multicultural drummers to partake in this event.

Please contact me if you are interested in participating!
We are dedicated to having as many cultures as possible participate in our community event!

Thank you,

Maria
